Welcome to the Glocal University Promotion Group at Gyeongkuk National University.
Since being designated as a Glocal University in November 2023, we are boldly breaking down barriers within and outside the university to strengthen a student-centered educational innovation system. We are challenging ourselves with bold innovations to lead the mutual growth of the region and the university by solidifying cooperation with the community and industries.
In particular, we are establishing a cooperation system with 7 educational and research public institutions in Gyeongsangbuk-do to lead regional innovation growth. Based on this, we are facing a major transformation into a public-type university that actively responds to public demands while creating synergy in education and research.
We are also promoting specialization to foster K-Humanities (Academic, Convergence, Industrial) talents based on traditional culture and to spread K-Humanities values. We aim to achieve a great leap forward into a world-class university based on the intensive fostering of regional specialized fields such as Vaccine and Bio (Open-field Smart Farm, Bees, Hemp) and shared growth with the local community.
